Abstract The study was carried out to examine the nature of teacher relevant psychosocial attributes, psychological capital, and teacher effectiveness among the women primary school teachers of Odisha. The objectives of the study were to find out the nature and strength of these variables among the teachers in general, group differences among them in respect of their level of education and level of experience, and finally the predictive functions of psychosocial attributes and psychological capital on teacher effectiveness. Following a purposive random sampling procedure, 420 teachers from 128 schools in six districts of Odisha participated in the study.
